Oberoi has developed a new way of fulfilling educational requirements while analysing key patient data and improving clinical management.
Working with a variety of people from IT, training and medical education backgrounds, Oberoi now have a unique combination of audit, analysis, education and training called Clinical Audit Learning Module (CALM).
CALM provides:
- a framework for learning
- a clinical management tool
- an outcome evaluation process
Within each of the three areas it provides educational materials linked to identified learning needs and clinical systems training.
The audit analysis identifies key patient groups who require intervention and who need improved medicines management thus allowing individual practice protocols to be developed and implemented. Finally it provides evidence of learning for appraisal, improves clinical knowledge to enhance patient care and at the same time improves usage of clinical computer systems.
