New Oberoi Recruits

Dr Trefor Roscoe

Dr TREFOR ROSCOE, a well-known and eminent voice in the field of Healthcare Informatics, has joined Oberoi Consulting as Medical Advisor to assist with the growing number of projects that Oberoi are developing. Trefor has been a practising GP since 1987, has served as a GP computing adviser to the Sheffield Health Authority for 10 years, and now advises at a national level. He has written extensively about IM & T, with several academic papers and letters published in recognised journals such as the British Medical Journal.

Trefor’s current positions include GP Informatics Tutor for North Trent in the Institute of General Practice at Sheffield University, where he is an Honorary Lecturer and a course tutor on the MSc in Health Informatics. From the end of 1999, he worked for 18 months with Doctors.net.uk, the UK’s leading medical Internet portal.

Sharon Pothecary Oberoi have also announced the promotion of SHARON POTHECARY. Sharon joined Oberoi in February 2004 as an IT Healthcare Professional. With the continued growth of Oberoi and its future projections, Sharon has now been given the position of Training and Development Manager for the existing workforce and new recruits.

Prior to joining Oberoi, Sharon worked for EMIS as Operations Manager in Shropshire and Wales, providing clinical software training and support in all areas of EMIS from hands-on workshops in clinical system training to assessments of hardware requirements in general practice; she was an area mentor in the latter area.
