Kavita Oberoi recognised as outstanding entrepreneur

KAVITA OBEROI of Oberoi Consulting was Runner-up in the Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 section of the prestigious Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2005, held at the Hilton Park Lane, London on the 26th May. A special announcement was made by the compere, Meera Syal, to say that Kavita had been highly commended by the Judges for her outstanding achievements. Kavita was introduced to Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, and chatted with Cherie Blair at length about setting up Oberoi Consulting – which has provided IT training to more than 20% of GP practices since being launched in 2001.

An article on Kavita’s achievements has appeared in the Economic Times of India, and she has been nominated for a Fellowship of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (RSA). The DTI has also filmed Kavita in an interview for a video and live webcast in their Women’s Enterprise Online Event on June 22–23. There is a link to this event on the website
