Primary Prevention Extraction Software

The first module in the Oberoi Clinical Observations suite is the Primary Prevention Extraction Tool.

The Oberoi Primary Prevention tool analyses the patient database en-mass and applies the algorithms of well known risks such as Framingham and JBS to produce the relevant score.

The software works with major clinical systems. The software can be installed on any networked PC in the practice and integrates with the clinical system. It is not installed on the clinical server, but extracts and processes the data and holds the results locally on the PC.

The 'Risk Predictor' function allows factors to be manually adjusted to demonstrate what effect changes to this factor would have in the score.Particularly useful for patient consultations.

Once the patients are identified, the data can be manipulated further to manage high priority high-risk patients.Patient risk scores together with all other relevant data on the patient record are displayed in a simple format.

Further functions include the option to adjust risk, based on ethnicity and family history. The export to excel function is particularly useful for advanced data manipulation and mail merge.

Calculated risks can then be entered back into the clinical system using the appropriate Read code, at the touch of a button.
