Volunteers Aim to Put a Lifesaver on Every Street

Volunteers who dedicate their spare time to saving lives are hoping to pass on their skills to 101,060 people in the county so there be will a first-aider on every street.

Members of the Derbyshire Save a Life scheme say it takes just two hours to train people how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation – better known as CPR – or help someone who is choking, among other skills.

Trial Launched to Ensure Vicki Ullah Wigs are Locally Accessible to Female Cancer Patients

Leading healthcare solutions company, Oberoi Consulting has announced it is to trial an innovative project which will make the choosing of suitable wigs more locally accessible and comfortable for female patients who experience hair loss during cancer treatment. The trial has also been designed to raise money for a specialist cancer charity, which supports people affected by the UK's fifth most common cancer; the Lymphoma Association.

Signed shirt to help Girls' Fund reach £10m goal

Derby Entrepreneur, and Managing Director of Oberoi Consulting, Kavita Oberoi OBE is to auction off an England football shirt, signed by England's top players, in America to raise funds for the Global Girls Fund. Kavita is currently the Chair of the Global Girls Fund, and aims to raise £10 million by the end of her tenure.
